Craft Base
Layers- Westerly peaks
are proud to announce that we are Scotland’s first outdoor retailer
to stock Craft base layers. Craft are a Swedish company that produce
a synthetic close fitting, wicking base layer. The feel of the garment
is closer to that of merino wool than a traditional synthetic and has
been designed with the rigours of cross country skiing in mind. The system
lends itself well to all outdoor activities and they provide products
which cater for all conditions. Craft provide the benefits of merino
wool at the price of poly propylene, this is the future of synthetic
undergarments.
AKU-We
have brought AKU back into our shop due to customer demand. AKU are based
just up the road from Scarpa in Italy and though they are not massive
in Britain, they are popular on the continent. The boots we stock include
the Spider Kevlar, as sported by Joe Simpson in ‘The Beckoning
Silence’ where he tackled the north face of the Eiger, and the
Edge which has quickly become a shop favourite and receives glowing reviews
from all who have worn them.
